1989 Trek 1000Late 2016 purchase, that has proved to be ideal. Coworker sold it to me for $70 in pretty much the condition you see it in. All parts were original. I did end up buying new bar tape, brake cable housing and tires. I also swapped out the seat.
The Langster in 2016
Burned the cones of my Langster's original front wheel hub assembly. After months of searching for replacement parts, to no avail, and the reluctance of wanting to spend half of the bike's worth for another wheel set, I came across the red spectacle pictured at a semi-local bike shop. The wheel came complete with tube and matching tire for $40. The bike shop Cat even filled it to proper pressure. It seemed like he was tired of seeing the wheel hang from the shop ceiling any longer and was motivated in getting rid of it. I probably could've negotiated an even better price, but seeing as we were both pretty desperate in our own desiderata at that point in time, the transaction was definitely a win-win.
The Bianchi PistaBought this one locally. Bike was bought from the previous owner, who purchased it in New Orleans. It spent some time in Dallas. From there it went to Pico Rivera and then here.
The Motobecane Cafe Noir
3 months later, the Motobecane is dialed in. Cleaned it up and replaced the worn tires it came with. Decided to go blue, as it plays off the black and silver so well.
Centurion LeMans
A Co-worker at work let me try this one out for a day. Took it home from work to make some adjustments for him. It turn out to be a pretty cool ride. I think 10-speed dates back to the late 70's. Everything looks original... even the leather saddle bag. The Motobecane Cafe NoirPicked this puppy up on 5/31. It needed a bit of cleaning up and some minor maintenance. Got it up in running within a couple of days. I still want to really dial it in. As time/cash allows, I will.
Saturday commutes into work requires less baggage. Clip the old trusty military issue ammo bag to the trousers and go.

The GT now (7/24/2014)
Single speed conversion. Commuting to work with this guy again. Waiting to get some bullhorn bars... to try it out.

2009 Specialized Langster
Picked up the Specialized Langster single speed/ fixed gear. It is a 2009 Model made up of an aluminum frame with carbon fiber forks. Similar make-up to the Cannondale with slightly different geometry. Definitely a lightweight contender for the daily commute to and from work.

2012 Cannondale CAAD 8 Tiagra
My new commuter. Super light road bike with carbon forks, 6061 aluminum frame and C4 alloy components.
1991 GT All Terra
This is my commuter bike. Taken to and from work at least 5 days a week. A 17 mile round-trip. This one actually pays for itself with the expense of maintaining a vehicle being near non-existent. The health benefits are an upside too.
